Your work will be rooted in Actors creating your own work. Yes…Actors writing. We are damn good at it while most of us don’t believe or even realize we are. You are already practiced at releasing and speaking your truth. When this gets put on paper magic happens.

Those of you who’ve been with me in the past know I’m big on actors writing. It’s a tremendously valuable tool. I have an exercise I’d like to invite you to jump into. (a few of you have already started)

Write a letter to someone you have an unresolved issue with. Don’t pull any punches, let them have it. Just let all your thoughts and feelings spill out onto the page and at the top of the letter write what the unresolved issue is…think of it in terms of flow writing.

Let that settle then step into the shoes of the person that you wrote.  Be them having just received your letter and as them, write you back. Give them the ability to speak out and say all the things they want to  in response to what you said to them.

Then see what happens if you write a 3rd letter being a friend or outsider who’s just heard all that’s been said. Allow them to respond with a healthy dose of tough love to set them straight. Be a loving voice of reason, compassion and understanding…or if you need to go scorched earth on one of them or both let it rip.

You will then see which one hold the most weight for you.

ALL THIS WORK WILL STAY CONFIDENTIAL AND DOES NOT HAVE TO BE USED IN CLASS. BUT I INVITE YOU TO GIVE IT A GO. WE CAN THEN REWORK AND FICTIONALIZE ANY PEOPLE, PLACES OR THINGS YOU MIGHT CHOOSE TO.

YOU ARE ALSO MORE THAN WELCOME TO STAY WITH ANOTHER MONOLOGUE OF YOUR OWN CHOOSING IF YOU’D RATHER.

ON OUR FINAL DAY YOUR MONOLOGUE  WILL BE PROFESSIONALLY SHOT FOR YOU TO ADD TO AN EXISTING REEL OR HELP CREATE A NEW ONE IF YOU DECIDE TO USE IT.
