Online Class: Building a Character

Self awareness and character development along with scene study, will move us into strong technique, the art of self-taping and acting on camera

As virtual auditions are more likely to be in our future, the self-tape becomes a major focus in our work.

Work in English or your mother-tongue, it is your choice. Scenes and scene partners will be assigned three days prior to the start of the course.

Sessions are focused on character development, improvising while getting the scene off of the paper, relaxation techniques, Meisner repetition and Method technique.

With a focus on character development, this is a gender-fluid workshop: we will work and play using all characters

Each session limited to 14 Actors.

“A lot of people say I seem masculine, but I don’t feel it. I feel intrinsically feminine. I’d love to be one of the boys but I always felt a bit on the outside. Maybe my masculine qualities come from overcompensating because I’m not one of the boys.”
— Tom Hardy
